First Week of School

August 7, 2017

It’s that time of year. . .already! Kind of bittersweet, right? The beginning of the school year is the best because you are refreshed, highly motivated and actually have some time to think! But we are also mourning the end of summer. And wasn’t last summer the best? (I think I say that every year 😀). Whether you are a brand spank’n new SLP or a veteran, the first week back can be overwhelming. What should you be doing to get the most bang for your buck? Where do you even start? We created the perfect back to school start up checklist! Click the here to download your copy!

Hopefully, this will get you started on the right foot. Here’s to having the best school year yet!

Co-founder, SLP Toolkit

Sarah Bevier, M.S., CCC-SLP has spent her whole career in schools — first as an SLPA, then a speech technician, then a school-based SLP after finishing her master's at ASU in 2012 — working in Gilbert and Mesa, Arizona. Mesa is home: her family's roots there go back six generations. She co-founded SLP Toolkit, which launched in 2016, and now works on it full time. She advocates for both sides of the caseload: the SLPs doing the work and the students they serve.
